FAQs

  • Therapy can be helpful for anyone who wants support navigating life’s challenges, processing difficult emotions, building insight, or simply having a space that’s just for them.

You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy—if you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or curious about yourself, therapy can be a valuable place to explore and grow.

If you're unsure, I offer a free consultation to help you decide whether working together feels like the right fit.

  • You don’t need to know exactly what you want to work on to start. We’ll move at your pace, and I’ll walk alongside you as we explore what’s coming up.

Therapy is a space where you can be yourself. A space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and patterns without judgment, and begin to make sense of your experiences in your own time. You don’t have to hold it all together. You get to be messy, uncertain, quiet, emotional - whatever you need that day, including feeling nervous.

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll explore what brought you to therapy, your goals, and what support might look like. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with—there’s no pressure to have it all figured out.

  • Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and how long it lasts depends on your goals, needs, and the pace that feels right for you. Some people come for a few months to focus on a specific issue, while others come for years to explore deeper patterns and experiences. We’ll collaborate on what’s most supportive for you and check in regularly about what’s working and where you want to go.

  • Fees:

    50 minute session - $240

    Extended sessions available upon request.

    Reduced fee spots are available.

    Insurance:

I’ve chosen to work outside as an out-of-network provider so I can provide care that is personalized, flexible, and truly guided by your needs—not limited by insurance company policies. This allows us to determine together what type of work and time frame is most supportive, rather than being restricted to short-term or diagnosis-driven treatment.

I’m happy to provide superbills for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Some plans will reimburse you for up to 80% of your psychological fees. Please check with your insurance provider about reimbursements.

    Reduced Fees:

I reserve a limited number of spots for clients in need of services who can’t afford my full price, and currently have openings.

Please contact me to further discuss working together for a reduced fee.

  • I completely understand that therapy is an investment, and can be a pricey one at that. I reserve a limited number of reduced-fee spots for clients in need of services who can’t afford my full price.

Feel free to reach out - I am happy to talk more about options to support you, or help you find a referral that better fits both your needs and budget. Your mental health matters, and not being able to afford a full fee does not mean you don’t deserve support.

  • Somatic attachment therapy is an approach that integrates body-based awareness with relational and emotional healing. It’s grounded in the understanding that our early attachment experiences shape not just how we think and feel—but also how we hold emotion in the body. This kind of therapy helps you tune into physical sensations, regulate your nervous system, and work through relational wounds by gently exploring how you experience safety, connection, and boundaries in real time. It can be especially helpful for trauma, anxiety, and relationship struggles.

  • A psychological associate is someone who has completed their doctorate in psychology and is working under licensed supervision while accruing hours toward licensure. I hold a PsyD in Clinical Psychology, and currently work under the supervision of Dr. Jesi Sasaki, PSY30889.
